Redeemed for a Purpose is a one-day women’s retreat created to help women step away from everyday demands, encounter God and be reminded of who they are in Christ. Through worship, biblical teaching and meaningful conversation, we’ll explore what it means to release the weight of the past, trust God in the present and move forward with renewed purpose.
Come expecting encouragement, connection and space to hear from the Lord.

Meet the women who will lead us through powerful teaching, meaningful worship and moments of reflection throughout the retreat.

Dr. Grace English is an internal medicine physician and founder of CARE (Christ-Centered Abortion Recovery & Education) and Deep in the Heart Ministries. She also hosts the “Getting Real to Heal with Dr. Grace” podcast, sharing honest, hope-filled conversations about healing and the redeeming power of Jesus.
Drawing from her own journey of breaking strongholds and finding freedom, Grace is passionate about helping others experience God’s transforming work. She and her husband, John, co-founded Bethesda Health Clinic to provide affordable healthcare to uninsured patients across East Texas. They have been married for more than 32 years and enjoy life with their growing family in Tyler, Texas.

Shelly Whitenburg is a writer, speaker and author of four books who loves helping others recognize God’s supernatural work in everyday life. After spending years immersed in New Age spirituality and metaphysics, Shelly encountered the truth of Jesus and now boldly shares that He alone is the way to freedom and new life.
Shelly has served with Deep in the Heart Ministries for five years and is a member of its board. She also serves on the board of Women’s Global Support Network, helping women strengthen their faith, navigate life’s challenges and deepen their relationship with Jesus. She and her husband, Wade, have been married for more than 40 years and are proud parents and grandparents.

Abby English is a worship leader, middle-school English teacher and graduate of Louisiana Tech University. With a powerful, anointed voice and a genuine love for Jesus, she leads worship with warmth, authenticity and a desire to help others encounter God’s presence.
Abby and her husband, Matthew, live in Benton, Louisiana, and lead a Young Adult Small Group at Freedom Church, where they are passionate about building community and helping young adults grow in their faith. Outside the classroom and ministry, Abby loves traveling, experiencing new places and spending time with the people she loves.
